Able Planet's Clear Voice VoIP Headset

Able Planet has come up with a technology called LINX AUDIO that maximizes the intelligibility of speech, can clip distortion, and restricts electromagnetic interference. These things provide a truer, clearer sound at lower volume levels.
This technology will make it's way into the Clear Voice VoIP handset, which was shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2008. No word yet on pricing or availability. A number of other handsets sold by Able Planet also incorporate this technology.
I do wonder how well this will work on an actual VoIP call where the biggest problem between two parties might be issues like latency or choice of codec. Will the headset make a crappy VoIP call clearer? Inquiring minds what to know.
